The Walmart Foundation granted the American Red Cross in Wisconsin a $50,000 to accommodate 50 students for their Nurse Assistant Skills Training or NAT, or CNA Training. The course is available every month in Green Bay, Waupaca, Altoona, and Oshkosh come the first week of September. The class is only available for 16 students every month. The qualified applicants only need to pay $250 for the program.
The scholarship is available across the state so students can participate in classes in Altoona, Green Bay, Oshkosh or Waupaca. Course locations, dates, time and registration information is available at redcross.org/WINAT. The scholarships are on a first registered basis and th e complete application must be submitted by Oct. 15. Later this fall, the course may also be available in La Crosse and Woodville.

CNA training as well as other technical courses is also offered free at Job Corps in Utica, New York. With or non high school diploma can apply for the program. There is also an option of getting GED while on training if needed. Interviews and orientation will be on September 18, 2013, 10am at the 2nd floor of Working Solutions in 207 Genesee St.
Job Corps is offering free technical training for 16- to 24-year-olds in careers such as auto mechanics, auto body repair, medical and business office, CNA, LPN, construction, culinary arts and security guard.
