The Griffin Hospital School of Allied Health Careers will be giving students 13 weeks of intensive CNA training starting September 16. This is open to all that is 18 years old or older and has a General Education Development (GED) or a high school diploma. Day shift class will be at 7 am up to 3:30 pm class every Tuesday and Thursday while the night shift class is every Monday and Wednesday, 5 to 10 in the evening.
Completion of the course is a qualification for state certification for nursing assistant.
The tuition fee is $1250 and it includes handouts and clinical rotation with malpractice insurance.
There are limited slots available for this program so the applicants are encouraged to apply early.
Care Careers Academy/Elder Options also offers a six week (107 hours) CNA training program. The clinicals are located at the Frontier Nursing Home in Longview.
